Night depository with deposit

[colonna3-2]Mechanical or motor-powered deposit devices have the purpose of automating deposit operation of valuables-containing sacks, assuring a totally safe 24-hour service. Both devices are made up of a heavy duty roll, provided with manually handled racks for the mechanical deposit device or with a motor in the motor-powered version. As regards to the motor-powered device, it is designed for the utmost safe working practices of the operator. The motor-powered roll moves only and exclusively when the deposit slot is closed. Hence, there is no contact between the roll and the hand of the operator.

The safes, provided with deposit devices, are available from grade 0 to V, according to UNI EN 1143-1 standard, or according to UL standard. The safes with mechanical deposit device are provided with a closing door and device protection. The door may be closed by a lock key or high security magnetic key, which allows event recording, which can be downloaded via PC or printed by means of an optional printer. Safes, provided with motor-powered deposit device, may interface with a network system by means of an Ethernet socket, which can be installed on the body of the safe upon request.[/colonna3-2][colonna3-3]Such device, moreover, can be interconnected with an ATM in the version with under ATM safe and with flanked safe (Stand-Alone model), offering the possibility to carry out deposits by means of an ATM card. The external frame of the deposit device is customized in order to satisfy aesthetic requirements of the installation environment (corresponding sizes and paint).

The safes may be provided with the following accessories:

  • Mail slot
  • Printer with deposit receipt print function and print of the events
  • Ethernet socket for network connections

Flanked and under ATM safe

[colonna3-2]The night depository safes in the Flanked and Under ATM models belong to the range of products, used by banks and for professional use, conceived for the deposit of cash surpluses. Parma Antonio & Figli supplies these special types of containment safes, compliant with 0 to III grade safes, according to UNI EN 1143-1 standard and compliant with UL standard, thus providing the Client with products ranging from medium to high safety level. Cash deposit, contained in appropriate ABS sacks collected inside the body of the safe, takes place by means of a suitable motor-powered device. The special feature of these safes is that of assuring various functionalities, not only as for operation modes of the same product, but also that of respecting defined aesthetic and installation standards. As a matter of fact, these products have been conceived to be installed in ATMs (especially in the Under ATM version), thus creating a unique body and, at the same time, allowing the Client to perform only one hole in the wall or window operation for the introduction and installation of the products. In both versions, the exterior aspect of the ATM is respected: as a matter of fact, all the products are finished with a suitable frame, reflecting as for sizes and finishing the external frame of the ATM, thus creating a more pleasant and matching environment in the self-service area. [/colonna3-2][colonna3-3]The motor-powered deposit system, installed both on the Under ATM model and on the Flanked mode, runs both in the self-managed mode with high security magnetic keys, and with the ATM interface by means of an ATM card, which enables the opening and handling function of the deposit roll, owing to the same interface of the ATM, allowing the Client to manage the deposit operation directly from the ATM self-service counter with deposit receipt.

Conveyor

[colonna3-2]The night depository PARMA CONVEYOR has been conceived to be used in combination with the ATMs for valuables deposit operations 24 hours a day. It is made up of a UL type safe, assuring an efficient valuables deposit system and of a belt deposit device, placed on the front of the ATM, which uses an appropriate opening on the front of the ATM, normally unused.

Functioning procedure is particularly easy and immediate: the deposit device is warned by leaning a high security magnetic key on the appropriate reader. This operation allows the external slot (shutter) to open and, at the same time, the pulling system of the sack, containing the valuables, is enabled. The transfer is monitored by a system of photocells, so that the direction of the movement is discerned and it is verified that the valuables inserted reach the deposit area. [/colonna3-2][colonna3-3]This solution has the advantage of not requiring a wall hole, with sizes, differing from the ones strictly required for the ATM and of perfectly integrating with the body of the same ATM.

Protection of drawers

[colonna3-2]The most frequent attacks against ATMs are those committed by using gases.
Gas attack against ATMs is carried out by introducing the explosive gas into the ATM by means of the automated teller machine (after breaking the external shutter). The consequent explosion destroys the safe and the door of the same and, in most attacks, the door is completely torn off.

To impede access to the cash-containing drawers, on behalf of the criminals, both in case of breaking open of the door and in case of gas attack with consequent door explosion, Parma provides for an anti-explosive barrier: a mechanical device, which is assembled inside the ATM safe as a protection for the drawers. Its structure has been conceived so as to remain as a whole with the structure of the ATM or of the safe, hindering the theft of the drawers with the cash, in case of a violent explosion.

[/colonna3-2][colonna3-3]The system is implemented in heavy duty austenitic anti-blowtorch steel sheet to contrast attacks, performed with mechanical and thermal means.

The effectiveness of the mechanism to bursting tests has been verified at the CESI lab of Milan.

Shutter enhanced

[colonna3-2]Nowadays, one of the widespread attacks against banks is carried out on ATMs. To carry out an ATM attack by using explosives, it is necessary to introduce gas or solid explosives inside the ATM and this is not difficult, as the same ATM features some openings, which can be accessed by the street, such as, for example, the cash dispenser slot.

These openings are protected by a shutter, which, however, is not wreck-resistant and, so, the dispensing or accepting slot is used to fill the inside of the safe with gas or to insert solid explosives. The way to avoid the introduction of explosives is that of replacing the existing shutter with a device, having the same function, but much more resistant. Parma has, therefore, designed and implemented the shutter-enhanced device, exceptionally strong and interchangeable with the standard shutter, which makes it impossible to insert explosives in the ATM body.

[/colonna3-2][colonna3-3]The structure of the shutter-enhanced device is made of heavy duty steel, is solidly fastened to the upper wall of the ATM safe, and is perfectly interchangeable with the original one, thus making replacement operation easy even in on-site interventions.
